A subsidiary of Alexandria Company for Metal Industries and Trade, El-Fath Free Zone Company for Industry functions under the free zone system (Investment Law), and specializes in manufacturing steel drums in various sizes and for various purposes. The company is a member of Drum Net, and receives technical support from MAUSER of France.
The company has a capital of 3.6 EUM and manpower of 170 workers. The overall production throughput for both companies is 600 drums/hour.

As a subsidiary of Alexandria Company for Metal Industries and Trade, the company is well grounded in the manufacturing of metal containers, especially large-capacity drums.
Alexandria Company for Metal Industries and Trade was established in 1944 with the purpose of producing steel drums for oil and military purposes, under the name of a Dutch company, Overseas Containers Company.

In the period of 1962-2000 the company was a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Engineering Industries, a Ministry of Industry public sector company.
In August 2000, El-Fath International Group has purchased the company under the Egyptian Privatization Program.
In January 2003, the new fully automated production line has been established under the name of El-Fath Free Zone Company for Industry with capacity of 300 drums/hour. The line is located in Alexandria Free Zone. The new line was equipped with French equipment and with technical support from MAUSER of France. The company is the Egyptian member of Drum Net.
